THREE STICKS is the brainchild of the legendary Bill Price—a name you’ve definitely seen stamped across some of California’s most iconic wineries. He’s part-owner of Kistler, Kosta Browne, Beringer, Chateau St. Jean, and Gary Farrell, and he also owns some of the most coveted vineyard land in Sonoma, including Gap’s Crown and Durell.
Pair that with Winemaker Bob Cabral, who spent 17 years leading Williams Selyem (yes, that Williams Selyem), and you’ve basically engineered the perfect recipe for extraordinary wines.
When Bill launched Three Sticks back in the early 2000s, we were among their earliest supporters—and many of you still remember the incredible bottles we were able to send your way. For years, they were some of our most requested, most beloved wines. Eventually, like many ambitious wineries during the boom years, they shifted to selling exclusively in-house.
But now… 😉They’re back. And we couldn’t be happier.
Which means you get access again, too. I’ve got four absolutely stunning single-vineyard releases—Chardonnay and Pinot Noir—that showcase everything Three Sticks does best.
And let’s talk timing for a moment. You’ve probably heard the news: the wine industry is in a bit of a slump. Smaller boutique producers and even some big-name estates are feeling the squeeze. Fewer tasting room visitors, fewer allocations gobbled up instantly, and more competition across the board.
But here’s the silver lining:This moment is a huge opportunity for us—and for you.
Wineries that once sold only to their tight “Members Only” lists, or reserved their bottles solely for tasting-room visitors, are now turning to trusted partners to help share their wines with a wider audience.
Three Sticks returning to us is a perfect example—and one of the most exciting ones yet.
A winemaker’s mélange of the very best fruit from their six Estate vineyards, this bottling is a lush snapshot of what the Sonoma Coast does so well. It’s basically the greatest hits album of their most expressive vineyard sites.
It opens with lifted aromas of dark berries, rose petals, leather, and savory herbs—an inviting mix that pulls you right in. The palate keeps the momentum going: velvety black cherry, rich wild red berries, raspberry, damson plum, a flash of orange zest, clove, wildflowers, and a teasing hint of black pepper.
Underneath it all is that classic forest-floor earthiness and a whisper of toasted vanillin oak, leading into a juicy, distinctive, long finish that shows off the wine’s balance and depth.
A gorgeous, mouthwatering expression of the coast—layered, lively, and seriously delicious.
